Friday November 20

Last night I slept well in the other room of the CNS apartment .. obviously not my house.

My frustration is clearly evident in the many things that the so called "program" is calling me upon..

I really would like to take a look at the so called "program" so that I can make sure you know what you are doing dear CNS

I am devising little subterfuges and strategies to avoid your patients that have been bad to me.

It is a human and decent way to be leaving...perhaps not ..I let you figure out this matter.

This is the park today .. enjoy if you can

You see dear CNS I am not 623, this is  a number I never wanted to learn.

Today I reminded miss Mary that I would like to be addressed by  my own full name or else she can call me simply  as Dr. Rossi.

After all I feel I earned my chevron in France at ESRF

In many ways it would be best to be past away rather than being enslaved on your Rehabilitation place.

Frustration and yet more frustration..

You guys are perhaps put some effort in learning about the matter that is important to me..
yet it seems you ignore it all.

Dear CNS yesterday I filed a complained form with you.  It is a maintenance job that has not been taken care on the due time.

In my opinion when I am asking to do something from maintenance, it should be noted and taken care the very next day. Obviously you are not paying attention nor doing a great job.

Here is the complaint form for your record.

In my own view the example above is called Kaizen.

This is the Japanese Ideogram it is associated with this practice.

Remember I fired the architect (Santiago Coronado) that was doing a poor job in my house.

His  project was completed by Kathy Butterworth who is a general contractor.

She made a good job and replaced the most extravagant choices of Santiago with more reasonable - and  cheaper ones.

It is too bad for you CNS you are dealing with a Person -me- that has a lot of high expectation for your service and never stop you reminding whenever you fell short of your own duties.

Yet dear CNS you expect me to throw the trash everyday or read the newspaper here at CNS?
Dear CNS you should see where it is the happy medium as I feel you are not doing such a good job.

Yesterday evening I did  I took care of moving the CNS bedroom to a quieter place , hence I  did a lot of exercise in the apartment that belongs to CNS.

A left over Pasta alla carbonara, chicken breast a la Alex and a healthy salad.
Alone as usual lessening to NPR..
I am used to survive in this conditions.

Today at lunch time I had my own food.  Perhaps I  forgot to mentioned I had my lunch standing in a corner as  I see dear CNS you are maxed out on you  current availability and for me it is too cold to eat outside. A big problem for CNS? Obviously not... As I see it this is part of the lower service that is coming with being at CNS.

You should start redirecting new patients to different clinics or declining to engage. as it stands you do not have the capability to handle everybody.

As everyday and more importantly on  Friday it is lunch on my term.

Just making a firm and independent point to you CNS.

You offered  what I perceived to be mediocre food and I declined politely.
It is my decision not to eat your Friday food ever.

You should have a dietary doctor  reviewing your food choices.

I fully know the routine by now  I  was not got deceived but just confirmed on my expectation.

I had a carbonara pasta, a healthy salad with blue cheese, celery, carrot, tiny red tomatoes.
A couple of breads and finally an apple. I had food by standing still as you are fully maxed out as available sitting.

By the way I stand firm in my opinion there is somebody that berries the fault for me being here.

I let you decide which one has the highest responsibility between the usual suspects.

Enjoy the reading dear CNS and I appreciate the level of service you are providing
Sincerely

Giuseppe

Thursday November 19 2015

Yesterday I had   my dinner, made by myself and alone by my own as usual.

In the evening I went to have a hair cut at Great Clips.

I felt I needed one. They did a good job.

This is the timescale of my hair cut appointments:

April 9,
June 18,
August 20
and last November 18.

So for most every three months I have a cut with the exception that for the last one I have been waiting four months. It was long overdue.

Yesterday Renee cut my hair. Martha was still working there, she cut my hair a few months ago last time.

You see it looks like unskilled job persons do not move around much.

In my profession we had a lot of  incentive to retain the good designers of the company as they tended to be in high demand. Hence good designers are very mobile.
Myself I have been switching several companies before finally sticking to the last one. In that I was Vice President of Business Development. Hence you see my  appreciation for a good job is directly proportional to the service you provide me.

Our kids had Piano lesson with Liz.

This is me after the cut.

This is  a picture of my memory book. A took I am using to keep track of event I am going trough. It is my memory bank. The past and certainly my future.

The appointment was late in the evening at 7pm  so I did not go to the gym.

Well let's come to my own survival skills.
Due to the neighbor kindness - let's call it El Chupacabra  for the sake of this argument.

I have been really all over the place because of this ...

As a matter of survival - always survival skills at CNS- I folded back to the green room from the blue room which used to be assigned to me.

I already resolved to get Ambient pills to better sleep at night dear CNS.. Dr Helvie prescribed me then days ago.

To me this  feels more like a retreat rather than expecting to have an improvement of behaviour.
To me this sounds like   like" Ubi Major minor cessat" (do you understand Latin dear CNS?)
I bet you can make an effort in this case.

This is my new convalescent room, away from the street traffic and away from the noisy Chupacabra.

Obviously I keep trowing the trash, get the newspaper and read the newspapers. I keep doing all of this dear CNS because I have a good heart after all..
Are you sure you are keeping under control your most dangerous patients?

Today my lunch was a good one, too bad I did not enjoyed the environment nor the company of the surrounding.

Before lunch I had Yoga with Amy  at 11am,

She is a good and nice person, she brings a bit of normality among the abnormality of the AAC.

Amy is going to Cambria for Thanksgiving to visit her Parents.

If f you lessen to me, Today I think  it would be better to be in Hell rather than at AAC ...which is in my personal view Hell om Hearth in Bakersfield.

I feel my punishment is because of my sins and I have been condemned for life at AAC.

Are you reading this dear GOD?

Can you feel my frustration with you and your absurd joke on me.
Do you really think this  is funny?

Perhaps you are looking down and enjoying yourself very much... patting yourself on the back like we did at Yoga.

Please read and consider these words.
Sincerely

Wednesday November 18

Yesterday evening I went to Walmart to do Personal Shopping. So no gym for me.

This is the list of what I purchased at the local Walmart Store.
I spent $32.94 and returned the change to Ana at the reception.

I found the place convenient and I was happy with the service provided. Kyle drove me over there and then waited for me to be done and gave me a lift back to the apartment.

The biggest ticket item was Drakkar Noir Deodorant.

It is a man perfume body spray.
I like it and used it every day.

Yesterday evening Lapo went to play soccer with his trainer Ali and his best friend Kevon.

In the meantime Chicco our eldest  was revising his math subject as a test is coming up soon.

Good luck Chicco I know you are a very smart person.

Your mom has given you  a great brain to work with. I am sure you are aware of your possibilities.

Anna was helping you at home.

Before going to Personal Shopping I snapped this great picture of the local  sunset as seen from the door of my apartment. The Swain center is at the bottom of the image.

 Great contrast and great subject.

I had a great night (thanks to my new sleeping medication called Ambient)
It makes me sleep well and I feel rested in the morning.
I stay awaken until 9:30 pm and then Nursing comes to give me the sleeping pills.

It is a highly controlled substance. Nursing is checking on me  to make sure  I had  swollen it.
I normally  tease them about this medication.

My great breakfast this morning
Granola, blueberry, milk with Hot Cereal.

This morning I check on my milk before using it and it tasted really bad. So I pour it on the sink and used the other half a gallon I had in the fridge. Better safe that sorry.

This is my routine  for today:

I got up after a great night of sleeping well (My Ambient meds for sleeping works better and better)
I had my Money Management done today (first part is the receipt at the reception)

As usual this morning CNS made me found the trash to thrown away (step up and down) thank you so much for your help. It is appreciated.

I called home and greeted a good day to our kids. They  are well and as usual they were going to school with Simona. They had  breakfast with Nutella on bread slices.
Sometime Anna -my mother in  law- makes them a crostata (tart)

Later I  reached Simona at Starbucks she mentioned me that she would be busy for lunch as she has a visitor and a seminar. So today for lunch I will be leaving her a message on the phone. She is such a busy person at Caltech University.

Today our kids are going to Taekwon do while I will be going for a hair cut.

Enjoy the reading,
lunch is next
Sincerely

Monday November 16

Dear CNS and Jolanta,
I am appreciative of everything I you are doing for us.

I had a rough weekend as I have been sleeping poorly because of the CNS neighbors.

Despite my Ambient sleeping meds and my staying awake until 9:30pm here is the list of what happened over the weekend.

Yesterday evening I was awaken at 3:50am by a deep roaring, from the same unit I had Spanish music loud at 4:43am

As a result I am not able to sleep in 623 given the neighbors' careful and tasteful attitude.

My neighbor is addressing me with clearly unspeakable bad words really not worth of anybody.

Johanna R. the supervisor was very unpleasant with me. She did not care nor paid attention to this matter of mine. Is she working at CNS?  She  mentioned that this matter should be addressed with Jolanta- currently out- or Jesus A.

Here it is are you guys doing anything about it please?

Artistic freedom  I am calling the snapshot of today Monday November 16

New details are purring in from France, a set of coordinated attacks have been resulting in hundreds of casualties. A real shocking situation.

On Sunday I cooked chicken broth.

I added celery, carrot, potatoes tomatoes, bullion cube and Basmati rice.

I left it cooling down over night and this morning I put it away in the fridge.

While I was cooking I wrote a nice letter for Jolanta. I gave my letter of appreciating to Miss Amanda as my Case Manager Jolanta is current out of the office. Here is the letter that I have been writing on Sunday to CNS while I was cooking

I also went to the gym at 2pm

Also on  Sunday I am doing my own program that I am enjoying very much.

I met Leon and his wife. I greeted introduced myself and explained why I using my memory book to write down the name of the person I am meeting. He said that Joseph is the name of his grandfather.

For lunch I cooked Carbonara Pasta  and I had a left over staffed mushroom.

On Sunday morning early  I went to church at St. Philips the Apostle church.

It was a raining day and I got soaked pretty well.

The church was packed so I found place in the adjacent chapel.
The chapel is connected with the main church by a video link.
It uses two big LCD displays to show the on-going mass.

I noticed that the video is crisp and pleasant to watch.
Yet it is sometime jittering particularly it has to deal with many moving object.
It is most likely an artifact of the compression engine, quite interesting for me to understand the conditions when it happens.

On Saturday I wrote a letter to my family.
I combined with my letter to them from last Friday and Last Thursday and sent it all to Simona's address.

On Saturday evening I went to see a nice movie.
It is the latest movie from James Bond. It is called Spectre.

I found it really well made and entertaining.
Of course I had my Dibs and tea (no more soda)
I spent $18.25 for this outing.

James bond is involved with an organization that confronts him on many level.
While contrasting it he gets close with a woman.
Well do not worry she is following a different path.

As usual I greeted Morgana at the movie. We exchanged information about my kids and my wife.
She is a kind person.

On Saturday at 2pm I met Jesus and agreed on the following
1) on Tuesday at 6:30 pm I will be going to do Personal shopping worth $40

2) On Wednesday at 7pm I am going to Great Clips for a hair cut worth $16 + $3 tips.

In the morning I went to Trader Joe's
I  got a total of $102. 99 and a new supply of stickers.
As mentioned above it is clearly time for a hair cut

I cooked as always for me and enjoyed every single instant of it.

While cooking- writing to my family. It is called enjoying doing my writing.

By the way it comes handy for my therapy as it enhances the control of my small movement in my hand.
In the current lingo it is called THP (Therapeutic Home Program)

Don't you love this table cloth? It was given me by Jolanta my case manager.
It represent a coastal town in Italy called Fano.
Does it ring a bell to anybody?

Friday November 13

Already, the  boys are at school as usual, Simona drove them to school and then she went to a dentist appointment. Nothing major: a general cleaning  and check.

Yesterday evening at the apartment I have been very busy, for one I did not go to my Zumba class.

I felt I had more important things to take care at the apartment.

For a start I washed all my clothes and folded away carefully. I had a full basket to clean ahead of time.  So my laundry is done.  Washing all my own clothes, drying it. Folding it away and getting ready for my week ahead.

Tomorrow is washing day for the bed and for my bathrobe and towel as well.

I have been cooking Brocooli flowers.

The broccoli have been cooked on a pan using the stove. I seasoned it with healthy herbs, Olive oil and vinegar.

Chicken breast a la Alex is cooked according to the following recipe

First you have to sear the chicken on a hot pan on the stove.

After searing the chicken, the next step is to put in in the oven for 40 minutes.
At last it requires 5 minutes of broiling so that it light browns on the top.

While I was cooking I wrote to my family a nice letter in English and block letters so that the boys can read it.

As I needed paper to write I went at the reception where I was able also to retrieve my reading glasses that I had misplaced earlier.

Now I got it again and I added a sticker with my name.

At least for the next time it is clear who it belong to. I am very lucky person after all.
I feel very fortunate for being able to be here to write you all these adventures of mine.

Somebody is really looking after me from high in the sky.

My breakfast for today is the following one a healthy breakfast.  As mentioned to you above I called the boys on their way to school. We greeted each other a good day and we left.

Today's flowers are the following ones:  please note the plane high in the sky. It is a very nice background to the rose.

This morning I got my usual walk in the park. A nice brisk morning.
I took care of the little box they left me to take care ( Step up and Step down it is appreciated)

Finally I went to walk in the park and get the newspapers to read at the clinic.

I  snapped this panoramic picture of the park.
It is all good.

A great day to walk around. I greeted good morning to Zizi.
He is a homeless person that roam in the park and look into the trash for recyclable.
But do not worry a NRS is always there to keep an eye on me.
Today miss Priceless  was there to make sure that things were done according to plan.

I am back after lunch. Today as every Friday lunch was provided d by CNS.

Today I enjoyed eating lunch at AAC, despite me bring food I believe Lavisha has been doing a good job.
Here is a picture of my lunch. Tacos rice and ginger ale.

I enjoyed my lunch and had my food eaten inside the complex.
Too cold to be eating outside.

I called Simona and she was back from her dentist appointment.
Today she is going to have a meeting at the University Caltech.

Tonight our eldest Chicco is going to play tennis and Lapo our youngest is going to watch him play.
Of course Marina our nanny is going with them.

I  consulted with Simona and  we agreed it is best for me to send home the letters I  have at the apartment.
Next time I am going to see them all is for Thanksgiving  On November 26. I will be gone from the 26 to the 29 of November.
This is the plan.
For Thanksgiving we are going to have dinner with Stefano his wife Jane. In addition to their two sons Renzo and Dario there will be another family.

Bob, Raffaella and Luca, they are all long time friends of our family.

Enjoy the reading
I am going to work on my database for Lisa and CNS
Sincerely
Giuseppe

Thursday Nov 12 2015

Well today I have hard time seeing at the computer as I lost my reading glasses and it all appears out of focus to me.

Yesterday I went to the gym.

I had cycle with Cassie here at my right hand side. She told me she normally is at the Rosedale gym.

After cycle I had body pump  with Silvia. I started with some heavy weights.
However as my shunt started hurting I immediately decreased the load and focused on repetition of movement and on precision.

Whenever my shunt hurts it  is a sign for me to take it easy,

Before going to the gym I distributed the schedule at the apartment and booked for movie for this Saturday.
Yesterday the boys had piano lesson  with Liz.

Norberto - the sup took me to the gym.
On my way back Valerie came to pick me up.

Afterward I came back to the apartment got my medication from Nursing.
It is called Ambient and it is really working its magic at my brain.
I am glad Dr.Helvie has found a great medication for me to sleep throughout the night.

At last I had a snack

At the gym I greeted Lucy and the manager Carlos.
Lucy is a kind person training at the gym.
I had difficult time remembering her name, hence I had to ask her twice.

Morning.. a great night and it all speak about you mon amour

Today's pano picture is the following one

I had my money management completed today ($24 for outing and $75 for grocery).
While waking at the apartment I noticed these beautiful flowers and snapped a few shots

I always enjoyed taking picture, lucky for me I still enjoy doing it.

At the clinic I read the newspapers and then got Yoga with Ami.

She is a nice person to talk to. Her family is fine.

Her husband is Jacob, her daughters Madison 12 and Olivia 5 are doing great as well.

At the end of the session we always chat very quickly about them. A little touch of courtesy  and personal feeling goes a long way.  Everybody at CNS is very kind and very courteous. The staff is nice and very accurate on the patient's need.

I mentioned to Amy  that our boys are always busy doing  their many activities.

Yesterday they had piano with Liz.

Today they will be  going to Taekwon-do. Chicco will be playing soccer as well.

My lunch outside under the patio on a brisk day.

Soup, salad grapes.. all my body needs for today at lunch

At lunch time  I  also called my wife Simona.
She mentioned that she was going to   JPL as part of her job. Caltech is very closely related to JPL.

My plan for today is to make an accurate list for grocery shopping and then look around the apartment to check if I can find my reading glasses that I have misplaced a few days ago.

Well I have hard time reading the computer without it.

Enjoy the reading.

Sincerely
Giuseppe
